Taxis in München

Many people have the impression that all taxis in Germany are Mercedes-Benzes. Well... they are indeed the most common... but not all taxis bear the three-pointed star. Let's have a look at what you can expect to get in Munich.

Very high chance you will hop into an E-class as it is the most common. There are W210, W211 and the latest ugly-looking W212 models (pictured above) plying the roads. The over-engineered W124s (my favourite) are quite rare now, and the W123s practically non-existent.

A Mercedes-Benz W163 M-class.

And if you are lucky, you can find yourself sitting in the Mercedes-Benz S-class! Pictured above is the latest W221 long-wheelbase model. There are also the older W220 models being used as cabs.

Perhaps a visit to Munich wouldn't be complete without a ride in a car manufactured in Munich itself. The Bavaria Motor Works 7-series!

The Volkswagen Phaeton

Some other random and unexciting models...

And if it is your unlucky day, here's a miserable looking Dacia Logan! Look at all the Mercedes-Benzes surrounding it!

And finally... ho ho ho... no, your eyes are not deceiving you. A Porsche Cayenne taxi!!! THIS is the thing to jump into if you're in a hurry!

Szép napot,
Egyik képedet (gondolom engedélyed nélkül) illusztrációnak használják a facebook-on egy átveréshez, melyben berlini munkát ígérnek taxisoknak:

Volt egy másik kép is egy Priusról, azt a német fotós már eltávolíttatta.

Üdv,
Csaba
